2nd Annual Splash and Dash will be held Sunday, August 28, 2016

Known as an Aquathlon, a Splash and Dash event is a fun and fast-growing sport that combines swimming and running. The USA Triathlon Youth Splash and Dash Aquathlon series is open to athletes ages 7-15. The focus is on participation rather than competition, and serves as an introduction to multisport and promotes a healthy lifestyle. The West Shore YMCA event is open to disabled athletes and youth of all fitness levels are encouraged to participate in this exciting event.

August 28 at 9:00 A.M.

Ages: 7-10 – swim 100 yards and run 1K
Ages: 11-15 – swim 200 yards and run 2k

The swim will be in the pool and the run is outdoors on a closed course. Participants will receive a finisher medal, event t-shirt, and post-race food.  Don’t miss this exciting chance to make a splash at the Y!

Fee is $20 and includes the USAT one-day membership fee. Registration forms will be available after April 1.  Pre-registration deadline is July 1. All pre-registered participants will receive a participant medal, t-shirt and goodie bag. Any registrations after July 1 including day-of registration is available for an additional $10 fee.  T-shirt and goodie bag may not be available and the participant will swim in the final wave.
