The West Shore Y has you and your children in mind when it comes to swim lessons. Have you wanted a safe, supportive environment fit for any age to get aquatic experience? The West Shore YMCA is the place that is not only known for its swim lessons, but it prides itself on the ability to teach children and adults of all ages how to gain confidence in the water. Our experienced Y instructors emphasize the important facets of swim lessons, such as water safety, swimming and endurance skills, as well as social skills. The swim lessons provided by the West Shore Y are fit for all ages, all abilities, and are comfortable, supportive, and judgment-free zones.
Class size is determined by the participants’ abilities, ages, and necessary accommodations. This way, the experience of our students is crafted to their specifications, thus assuring the best aquatic experience possible. Classes meet once a week for 8 weeks. During the summer two week classes are available. If a holiday occurs when your class is held the fees will be prorated.
